Wat Phra Sri Sanphet temple in Ramathibodi I,used as a royal palace later Borommatrailokkanat built a new palace to the north and converted the old palace grounds to be a holy site for important worship of capital.The Wat Phra Si Sanphet temple was the temple of the royal family; no monks lived there different from Wat Mahathat Sukhothai temple which have monk stay in buddhist monastery during the buddhist lent all temple (Wat Mahathat Sukhothai temple, Wat Phra Sri Sanphet temple and Wat Phra Si Rattanasassadaram temple)was established for the same cause that is “Royal temple”
