Old name is Wat Werunaram temple is located in Si Phum close to Chiang Mai Municipality Stadium, there is a pagoda that look strange than any other pagoda in Thailand. The style of this pagoda is similar to the watermelon overlapping so the villagers called Wat Ku Tao temple. This temple history isn’t clear when it was created but legend says that Ku Tao pagoda is placed the bone of Tharrawaddy Min who is the son of Bayinnaung of Myanmar who came to dominate Chiang Mai during 1579 – 160
